Mackevision, one of the leading companies in 3D visualisation, animation, visual effects and post-production, is supporting the 2009 animago Award.
Mackevision is sponsoring the Best Visualisation category in 2009. CGI productions in still, film and interactive media are assessed on their concept, communication and technical implementation. Mackevision also aims to promote the event’s community character and its special industry-networking opportunities over the long term.
“The awards ceremony is an impressive showcase for the entire industry and a highlight for us every year,” says Managing Director Armin Pohl. “We are excited to see what the industry presents this year and look forward to many new and interesting contacts.” Mackevision has itself won several animago trophies in previous years.
“We are delighted that Mackevision’s longstanding support for the community shows how important animago is to the industry. We are pleased to have such a knowledgeable partner at our side,” says animago Project Manager Matthias J. Lange. “Mackevision is the ideal partner, particularly for the Best Visualisation category.”
The animago Award is Germany’s most important animation prize and the most renowned competition in the digital-content-creation industry. This year, it is receiving support from Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg for the first time. More than 10,000 submissions — ranging from film, television and commercial animation through short films and industrial productions to ambitious home projects — have competed internationally at the animago Award to date.
Entries can again be submitted free of charge at http://www.animago.com until June 30, 2009.
An expert jury nominates the best work in eleven categories and, in several categories, selects the winners together with an industry audience. The winners will be announced at the formal awards ceremony at the end of October.
