Primera Technology, a manufacturer of professional optical-media disc-publishing robots, is extending its two-year warranty promise to all duplication towers from June 15. The warranty for Disc Publisher family devices and label printers had already been increased from one to two years. Managing Director Andreas Hoffmann stresses again “that this is a genuine, voluntary warranty granted in addition to the statutory guarantee period.” The two are frequently confused in everyday language. He also emphasises “that this approach is not necessarily standard in the industry.” Primera understands customers’ increased need for security and wants to meet it with a new service benchmark.
The warranty now also covers DUP-series devices, allowing companies to meet differing duplication requirements for content on optical media using a master disc. The towers are suitable for archiving important data in storage applications and wherever image, audio and video files must be processed. As before, registration at http://www.primeragarantie.de is all that is required to receive the extended warranty.
There is one difference from the promise covering Disc Publisher devices and label printers: for duplication towers, it cannot be applied retrospectively to older devices purchased before the qualifying date. All drives are also excluded from the 24-month period and, as with Disc Publishers, carry only a one-year warranty.
