As the most important award in the digital content creation industry, the animago AWARD honours outstanding work in 11 categories. A renowned jury reviews and awards the submitted material from the fields of film, interactive media and still images. The competition has been revised and new categories introduced.
This year, the award will be presented in eleven categories:
Best Advertising Production
All entries relating to advertising will be assessed.
Best Mobile Production
Usability, design and the idea behind mobile applications are the focus.
Best Interactive Production
Front end, usability, idea and design form the assessment criteria for interactive productions.
Best Game Design

All submissions relating to games.
Best Short Film
Category for film entries up to 25 minutes long.
Best Film Production
Entries from all film and television productions may be assessed.
Best Visualisation
The focus is on the technical execution, idea and didactics of visualisations.
Best Virtual Photo (Still)
Possible submissions: stills in any output format.
Best Young Production
Entries from private and public universities as well as emerging artists may be assessed.
Best Post-production
Award for outstanding applications in the DCC industry.
Jury’s Special Prize
Submissions that attract the jury’s attention through a successful idea and a particularly outstanding combination of visual language and technical execution.
