In Munich on July 7, 2009, DIGITAL PRODUCTION announced that the most important award in the European animation industry is expanding into a two-day training and framework program, animago CONFERENCE. On October 29 and 30, the fx.Center will become the focal point for the international animation and post-production community.

For creators, decision makers and freelancers across media sectors, the animago team 2009, together with Lichtblick 4D, will host the first animago CONFERENCE in Babelsberg. The organizers are drawing on the Berlin Meet & Greet team experience to shape the two-day program and bring together professionals from architecture, games development and television production.

More than 20 national and international speakers, workshops and masterclasses are planned, including demonstrations of modern motion-capture technology from Germany. Motion capture allows human movement to be analyzed and transferred into a format readable by computers, supporting the creation of CG 3D models.

The conference includes a special highlight on October 29, when DIGITAL PRODUCTION will present the 13th animago AWARD for creative productions in advertising, game design, film and post-production.
