Its functional features include energy-saving capabilities such as brightness control (Auto EcoView) and automatic on/off switching via an infrared sensor (EcoView Sense). The EV2333W is therefore immediately ready for use at the correct brightness and wastes no energy when the user is not at their desk. The widescreen monitor’s work area has a full-HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. For office and home-office use, for example, it provides 50 percent more space than conventional 19-inch screens at approximately the same character size.
The EV2333W scores highly for mobility thanks to its broad range of movement. Its FlexStand base permits 35° tilt, 172° swivel, portrait and landscape formats, and height adjustment of more than 25 centimetres from the base plate. The advantage: these good adjustment options help prevent postural damage. The low-reflection, anti-glare surface completes the ergonomic package.

One DisplayPort and one DVI-D input allow digital signals to be connected. A D-Sub input is available for analogue signals. Up to three computers can be connected at the same time. Switching takes place automatically or manually if desired.
The overdrive function accelerates switching time between any colour tones. As a result, the EV2333W handles even rapid movement without disruptive delay. A typical grey-to-grey transition takes only 7 milliseconds.
A loudspeaker is integrated into the front of the housing. Even so, with a bezel width of only 1.8 to 2.5 cm and a depth of 4.7 cm, the monitor housing is fairly slim and compact. The screen therefore saves space and, with its image size, fits optimally into the working environment without dominating the desk.
EIZO guarantees a five-year on-site replacement service for the EV2333W. The new screen will first ship in Germany from the beginning of September. Its street price is expected to be approximately 450 euros.
