DPA Microphones and Rycote have jointly developed a new windshield and microphone-mounting solution specifically for the DPA 4017.
Particular attention was paid to low weight (71 g) and compact dimensions (210 mm) in the new mount. The DPA 4017 therefore fits perfectly into Rycote’s Windshield 2 (length: 210 mm). The microphone suspension is finished in a strong red, while the Rycote Windshield comes with black rings and a ridge also edged in black.
The DPA 4017-R consists of a DPA 4017 shotgun microphone with XLR cable and windshield, as well as a Rycote Windshield with fur, suspension and XLR holder. The list price for the DPA 4017-R is 1,750 euros plus VAT, while the list price for the DPA 4017 shotgun microphone has been reduced to 1,550 euros plus VAT. The DPA 4017-R is available for delivery now.
