The new version offers extensive sonic improvements through advanced loudspeaker simulation and expands every aspect that distinguishes GUITAR RIG as the most powerful software solution for guitarists.

To take the sonic authenticity of GUITAR RIG to the next level, an improved loudspeaker emulation was developed for the new version, enabling an even more organic guitar sound through latency-free convolution technology.

The new emulation also forms the basis of the versatile “Control Room” module, developed in collaboration with leading studio guitarist and recording expert Peter Weihe.

This new module allows up to eight phase-accurate virtual studio microphones to be combined and mixed flexibly for each loudspeaker model, enabling a wide range of sonic characteristics in the style of professional recording studios.

GUITAR RIG 4 PRO expands its repertoire of carefully recreated valve amplifiers with two new models, the tuned “Hot Plex” and assertive “Jump”, both based on Native Instruments’

sophisticated Dynamic Tube Response technology. GUITAR RIG’s comprehensive effects arsenal is also complemented by two new delay models and two new reverb variants, bringing the total number of effect types to 48.

Musicians using GUITAR RIG on stage benefit from the new master-effects section in GUITAR RIG 4 PRO, which enables typical live configurations such as global equalisers and trailing delays and reverbs. For recording purposes, the new version also introduces “True Stereo Processing” with a completely dual-channel signal flow, making the popular use of GUITAR RIG as a universal effects processor in studio setups even more efficient.

To give guitarists quick access to suitable sounds, GUITAR RIG 4 PRO also has a completely redesigned preset browser with a substantially improved operating concept. A new layout, faster search functions, flexible attributes, practical sorting functions and full compatibility with the KoreSound format make even extensive sound collections easy to manage. The new version also contains a new collection of 300 ready-to-play guitar sounds for various styles, already categorised with musical attributes and based on the new “Control Room” module.

Further improvements in GUITAR RIG 4 PRO include improved sound quality for pitch effects, numerous enhancements for host automation and controller assignment, universal MIDI control functionality for the RIG KONTROL 3 foot pedal, and much more.

GUITAR RIG 4 PRO will be available in various versions from October 2009. GUITAR RIG 4 PRO software will be available at a recommended price of

EUR 179 and is also included in the KOMPLETE 6 bundle.
