According to the company, the Core i5 processor family owes its performance increase primarily to the integrated memory controller and the resulting improvements in memory bandwidth and latency. Data-intensive CAD and 3D applications in particular benefit from this optimised dual-channel DDR3 connection. To meet the changing performance requirements of 3D workstations, the ProViz X25 workstation supports Intel Turbo Boost Technology.
This technology accelerates demanding applications and dynamically adapts performance to requirements. It saves energy when performance is not needed and restores maximum performance within fractions of a second. Together with PNY Quadro graphics cards, the workstation is intended for engineers, 3D operators and designers.
