Through stream5 technology, NCPower Compact users can use “integrated Internet delivery” as an additional feature. This is particularly interesting for television, special-interest or corporate-TV broadcasters, which can use it to implement Internet television or integrate video functions into their websites. Thanks to media-neutral storage and control of the content, not only websites but also mobile devices, for example, can be served.
NCPower Compact customers can also use stream5’s content delivery network, through which videos can be delivered worldwide.
“By integrating stream5 technology, we can offer our customers in the broadcast sector an even more extensive portfolio of services,” explains Robin Ribback, Head of Product Management & Business Development at NorCom. “The advantage: because the technology is already integrated into NCPower Compact, broadcasters can get started immediately and test the Internet as an innovative broadcast medium.”
The partnership also offers advantages for stream5: “Until now, our product has mainly been used by companies that want to present themselves audiovisually on the Internet,” says Christoph Hölzlwimmer, CEO of stream5, of the collaboration. “NorCom enables us to open up the national and international broadcasting and producing market.”
