HE FINGER combines more than forty effect algorithms, including sampler, transformer, filter, gate, delay, reverb, distortion, waveshaping, ring modulation and more, and links them with a special control concept. Each key on a connected MIDI keyboard activates a specific effect type with special parameter settings, with up to six effects chained simultaneously in the order of activation. This intuitive concept allows THE FINGER to be played like an instrument and offers particular potential for live performance and improvisation. When used as a plugin in the sequencer, controlling it with a MIDI track can generate sophisticated effect sequences with precise timing.
THE FINGER uses the free KORE PLAYER as a platform for standalone and plugin operation and can also be used with the KORE 2 software. While two parameters are controlled via velocity and modulation wheel, the macro controls of the KORE interface offer further sound-shaping possibilities. REAKTOR owners can also use an extended user interface that provides access to additional detailed parameters and enables the creation of custom effect configurations.
