With an enthusiastic audience, a unique location and numerous international guests, the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) has a firm and outstanding place in the international animation landscape. Professionals appreciate the numerous workshops, presentations, information events and showcases: They come to Stuttgart to continue their education and make contacts.

The competition programs, with prize money of more than 50,000 euros, present the best and latest animated film productions from all over the world. Since it was founded in 1982, the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film has promoted artistic animated film and young talent. With Animation Production Day (APD), which is held jointly with FMX and Michael Schmetz Mediaconsult, the festival offers another marketplace platform that is important for the industry.
