The circus clown, stylised as an artificial figure in the form of a CGI character, whom Fellini already buried in his film “The Clowns”, is the starting point of this animated film.
The duo of Auguste and White Clown appear separately, representative of an increasingly polarised world permeated by norms and rules. Projected onto a cinema screen as an involuntary clown and voyeuristically observed and humiliated by an unsuspecting audience, he finally finds himself and his archetype, the so-called trickster.
As an opposer, shapeshifter, psychopomp and lustful bricoleur, he pushes back with all his might – from the subconscious into the viewer’s consciousness.
