Playing and communicating together: that is the focus of the freshly revised SevenGames.de gaming platform, which is now online at http://www.sevengames.de. ProSieben’s games portal is the first social gaming platform from a TV broadcaster in Germany. In a second step, expansion into one of the leading international social games platforms is planned. Versions for Austria and Switzerland will follow in the next few weeks, and the English platform at SevenGames.com in the coming months.

The Netherlands, Belgium, Norway and Sweden will also receive their own language versions.

By mid-2010, the complete SevenGames operation will be established in Europe’s most important countries. SevenOne Intermedia, the multimedia company of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group, is responsible for the concept and implementation of the new platform.

Marc Wardenga, Head of Games at SevenOne Intermedia: “On the new SevenGames.de, playing together is now even more strongly in the foreground. In this way, we are responding to the wishes of our users, who mainly wanted a platform where they can play – and do so in interaction with others.”

Users of SevenGames.de can create a completely individual, personal avatar on the unique social gaming portal, design its appearance and thus present themselves to the community. Together, players on SevenGames.de can now play multiplayer online games based on strong ProSiebenSat.1 TV brands as well as games from

third-party providers, and jointly achieve successes in the form of awards.

Both the ease of use of SevenGames.de and classic social community features such as chats or wall posts form the basis for high-quality online entertainment. With this new, free service, SevenGames.de meets the

needs of gaming fans just as much as those of

casual players, turning gaming on a screen into a genuine community experience.
