According to the company, “forsenses” combines fascinating HD footage of the four elements on a Blu-ray Disc with a specially composed 3D surround chill-out soundtrack. The result is a first-class audiovisual symphony that opens entirely new dimensions to viewers: never before had film as a medium been so immediate an experience for the senses. All the HD footage comes from Framepool and reflects the highest level then possible in film technology.
The “forsenses” reference project was the product of years of work by renowned film specialists, high-speed cinematographers, underwater filmmakers and helicopter-camera experts. Together, they make viewers almost feel the four elements—water, air, earth and fire—beneath their skin: with beautiful sunrises and sunsets, unusual views of volcanoes, vast mountain landscapes, cities at night, impressive animal worlds in the silence of the ocean and much more. All footage came from Framepool, the footage portal by and for filmmakers. It also included footage captured with highly sensitive specialist equipment that conveys impressions for which the human eye is normally too slow, such as a raindrop bursting on a flower petal.
The reference Blu-ray was produced by BluElements, a production company founded specifically for this project by Selectfilm owner Philipp von Kap-herr together with music producer and composer Ivo Moring (ALANAproductions). Framepool was involved in the production process from the outset. Over five years, a large amount of material was viewed and critically examined according to thematic and qualitative criteria. Existing archive material was not the only footage used: licensors from Framepool’s broad network also filmed material to order for the project.
“‘forsenses’ was created in close cooperation with Framepool. The exceptionally intensive collaboration and personal advice enormously enriched the project,” said Philipp von Kap-herr of BluElements. “This disc embodies the combined experience of filmmakers and film producers from around the world brought together under Framepool’s roof. Never before had the subject of high definition been implemented so intensively. We are truly proud of the result.”
“High definition is now indispensable in the professional film sector, and a large proportion of our material is available in this quality,” says Ulf Remy, Senior Account Manager at Framepool. “We are therefore all the more pleased that this project now also conveys to consumers the fascination generated by this new standard. And the combination with perfect 3D sound is simply stunning.”
