Steinberg begins shipping a comprehensive new hardware synchronisation solution for almost any production situation: Nuendo SyncStation. The robust 19” rack device is based on the latest sync technology from industry legend Colin Broad and sets new standards for reliable synchronisation of video and audio tape machines, DAW systems, house-clock generators and other studio devices. The synchroniser was developed specifically for Nuendo and integrates perfectly into Steinberg’s audio and post-production system, but is not tied to it. Thanks to support for all common standards and formats such as MTC, LTC and MMC, VITC via Sony 9-pin / RS422, WordClock, HD/Tri-level Sync or Black Burst, varispeed operation and GPIO, Nuendo SyncStation is the perfect synchronisation system for the entire studio. Nuendo SyncStation also supports the sample-accurate VST System Link protocol via digital audio connections such as AES/EBU and S/PDIF. As a highly precise clock generator and/or distributor, Nuendo SyncStation therefore ensures exact synchronisation to video frames even when less precise standards such as MTC are used.

And thanks to support for almost all important formats and interfaces, Nuendo SyncStation is probably the best all-round synchronisation solution available on the market today,” Degen continues.
Nuendo SyncStation will be shipped to selected Steinberg dealers from the end of January 2010 and will be available for 2,999 euros.
