Red Bull Illume is about passion, courage and perfection - and the photographers behind them. The submitted photos are judged by an expert jury of renowned photo editors. The competition is taking place for the second time this year. In 2006, around 2,000 photographers from more than 90 countries submitted more than 7,500 images.
There are 10 categories in which photos can be submitted: culture, playground, energy, spirit, close up, wings, new creativity, experimental and illumination. The winner of the Red Bull Illume Image Quest 2010 will receive a Leica S2 camera with equipment worth €30,000. There will also be a worldwide tour at which the best photos will be exhibited.
Registration remains open until February 28 and is free of charge.
