Jim Elias, based in Europe, has been commissioned by OConnor to lead the development team for the new precision devices - thus ensuring the high OConnor standards in future as well. As a recognised expert in the development of camera accessories, Elias brings his extensive experience as a camera assistant to product development. Michael Zeisse, also based in Europe and another professional from the film industry, has been appointed product specialist. He is already in close contact with camera crews in order to integrate their feedback and therefore their requirements and expectations into new product development.
Follow-focus system for the cine sector
As its first product – with more to follow shortly – OConnor presents a completely modular follow-focus system for the cine sector. The compact, flat components enable rapid tool-free mounting on common rod systems. The new OConnor follow focus is compatible with commercially available follow-focus accessories and gears. OConnor’s new system can be combined without difficulty with all camera and lens systems.
Customers can also count on the company’s own customer support and high-quality customer service for the new camera accessories. “The new follow-focus system for the film sector is designed for modular versatility and compatibility with other systems and also scores with its favourable pricing, especially for equipment rental companies and users who use many different cameras and lens combinations,” says Finessi.
The OConnor follow-focus system can be pre-ordered from March. Delivery begins in April.
