The steadily increasing student numbers at the German SAE locations demonstrate the strong interest in future-oriented media training courses and the high reputation of SAE Institute as a preferred educational institution, SAE explains according to its own information. One key criterion for this is the high quality of the training, which consists of a combination of theoretical instruction and practical work. Modern equipment and the latest technical facilities are indispensable in order to establish practical foundations for later professional assignments precisely in this area, it continues.

For this reason, at the beginning of the year the Film & Animation departments of the SAE locations in Munich, Berlin, Cologne, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Leipzig were equipped with additional professional high-tech film equipment with a total value of almost a quarter of a million euros. All locations received the following equipment:

- a Quad Dolly from GFM - Grip Factory Munich with jib arm, approximately 15 m of track and various accessories

- a G-Force Dynamic Steadycam from ABC Products

- a Pixy crane (expansion stage/version 3) from Panther

- a Sachtler SOOM tripod with FSB6 fluid head

Götz Hannemann, Marketing Director at SAE Institute, also sees the equipment purchase as a sign of the organisation’s good industry contacts: “We seek out and maintain close contacts with the industry. This means that we can not only offer our students optimal training conditions with state-of-the-art equipment, but at the same time give them the best possible starting point for professional life. SAE graduates are in demand in the industry because of their wealth of practical experience – making it all the more important that this is acquired using the latest equipment.”
