Almost 50 percent more buyers, an increase of more than 50 percent in purchased credits and growth of more than 50 percent in credits earned by artists: 2009 was a very successful year for Fotolia and its more than 1.5 million members. Customers from agencies, advertising companies and, increasingly, newspaper and book publishers benefited from the best price-performance ratio in the stock-photography market and the attractive licensing model with images starting at one euro. “Fotolia means incredible added value for users: we offer photos, vector files and videos from some of the world’s most talented artists for legal commercial and advertising use,” explains Murat Erimel, Director Marketing and Media Relations GSA at Fotolia. “Previously, designers, marketing professionals and creatives sometimes had to pay more than 500 euros per image.
