The wide-format LCD is intended for prepress and soft proofing – but what is good enough for the graphic designer is surely also suitable for the animation specialist. After all, 107% of the Adobe RGB colour space across 2360 x 1440 pixels, calibrated by hardware in the ICC profile, along with the light coverage and brilliance of the colours, should also make animation work easier.
Furthermore, the variable backlighting ensures colour fidelity even after prolonged use, and the included Spectraview Profiler software package handles creation and export of the profile. The Spectraview Reference 271 costs 2,116 euros and is available immediately.
