The training lasts three years and qualifies students for artistic work in animation, the production of short and feature films from editing through film music, and post-production activities.

In 2008, the Supinfocom project “Marin” received an animago award in the Best Production category. The film from the leading French institute, which has locations in Arles, Valenciennes and Pune in India, tells the story of a sailor who travels with his fish through a dried-out world of dunes in search of water. In the same year, two further animated films were nominated for Best University Production: “L’homme à tête de poule” and “Bolides”. Last year, “Miam”, another Supinfocom production, was nominated for Best Young Production at animago.

In May of this year, “Miam” reached the shortlist at the Animécourt festival. This festival presents, as it were, the “best of” French and Belgian animation schools. The current production Muzorama was also nominated and was shown at the Trescourt festival in May (http://trescourt.com). About Supinfocom:

Supinfocom has existed for 20 years, and more than 1,200 graduates have now left the French creative institution. Supinfocom was founded in 1988 by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Valenciennes region. This school also ranks very highly in international rankings and has earned a first-class reputation. In 2000, Supinfocom expanded from Valenciennes in northern France and founded a second location in Arles in the south of France; Supinfogame was founded in 2001. As the name suggests, this school is devoted exclusively to game training and was the first of its kind in France. In 2008, the Supinfocom Group brand was launched, encompassing Supinfocom, Supinfogame, the Higher Institute of Design and The Institute of Computer and Enterprises. A location was also opened that year in Pune, India, near Mumbai.
