The free update is available for 3DxWare software and works with Autodesk 3ds Max 2009 through 2011 and the entire 3Dconnexion product range on Windows. With large models or complex details, the intelligent 3D navigation apparently navigates in relation to a “point of interest”, determined either by the program itself based on the centre of the model or by the user. The pivot attached to it then serves as the reference for control.
