According to information available so far, those involved in the film include director Jed Weintrob (Soldier Boyz), Kirby Bliss Blanton (Hannah Montana) and Angela Bettis (May, Toolbox Murders). The film is scheduled to open in cinemas on October 21 of this year. A preview of the plot:
As a teenager, Joan Burrows (Angela Bettis) fell into the clutches of the psychopath Bishop. He gave his victims the perfidious choice of either being tortured to death themselves or agreeing to the murder of another prisoner. Joan managed to free herself at the time and killed Bishop. His series of murders therefore appeared to be over, and Joan became a local heroine. Yet she never overcame the trauma …
Sixteen years after her ordeal, Joan returns to Ovid to attend the crowning of her niece Olympia (Kirby Bliss Blanton) as “Prom Queen”. Shortly after her arrival, another series of gruesome murders begins. Teenagers are again the victims; friends of Joan’s niece in particular are abducted and killed at random. Mutilated bodies are left behind each time. Joan’s first thought is of Bishop, whom she believes has returned. When Olympia finally disappears, she takes the initiative and begins searching for the murderer herself. But the police initially suspect Joan and arrest her. Concerned about her niece’s fate, Joan escapes from prison and now does everything she can to rescue Olympia and leave the shadows of her past behind …
