The animago AWARD has been presented for 14 consecutive years and, over the course of its existence, has developed into a nationally and internationally renowned award for the entire animation industry. This is demonstrated this year alone by the fact that creatives from more than 80 countries have registered to participate.
For the second time, the animago AWARD & CONFERENCE is being supported by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and is taking place in the film city of Babelsberg. The ideal location was found in the fx.Center. “The fx.Center is and remains a brilliant event location for the forward-looking animago AWARD,” says animago project manager Maik Euscher.
The design of the fx.Center in the Babelsberg media city – created by Japanese architect Sin Takamatsu – makes an overwhelming impression.
Across a total of 1,118 square metres, the highly modern and architecturally unique post-production complex offers three fully equipped studios for film, TV and advertising productions.
With a total area of 585 square metres, Studio 1 is the largest studio at fx.Center Babelsberg. This is also where the animago AWARD will be presented as part of a major gala. With its electrically movable load ceiling and 16 freely positionable chain hoists, the studio is ideally suited to advertising shoots, music clips and visual effects recording.
With a total area of 364 square metres, Studio 2 has a water-resistant floor and smoke extraction system and is specially adapted to the modern requirements of special-effects productions. It also serves as a green-screen studio for visual-effects recording.
Blue-screen Studio 3 and the large cinema are also ideal conference rooms. The fx.Center therefore offers both a cinema with 155 seats and a screening cinema with 19 seats for 35mm, Super 35mm and a digital cinema projector for HD and 2K screenings.

Until September 15, tickets for the animago AWARD & CONFERENCE are available at the early-booking discount. For 78 euros (40 euros for students and school pupils), visitors receive reduced admission to the two-day event.
