LipService is a multiresolution subdivision-surface sculpting, rigging and animation system in the form of a Maya plug-in. Manufacturer Joe Alter Inc. cites ZBrush and Mudbox, among others, as comparisons – but you will have to Test for yourself to what extent it can hold its own agianst them. It is therefore practical that it is currently in the beta-test phase and can be downloaded free of charge.

The sculpting module naturally has stencil brushes, texture brushes and much more, which conveniently make it possible to switch between LipService and other sculpting tools. It also includes real-time shaders and screenspace ambient occlusion.A rigging module is included as well, which is intended to make pose-space deformation and corrective sculpting available in a completely new way.
