A special 2/3-inch MOS sensor provides the generation of SD and HD footage. Supported formats include, among others, AVC-Intra100/50, DVCPRO HD, DVCPRO50, DVCPRO, and DV, while switching between frame rates of 50 Hz and 59.94 Hz is possible. The camcorder is therefore not regionally limited.
The AG-HPX600 does not lack connection options. Wireless transmission via Wi-Fi or standardized cable connections such as USB and Gigabit Ethernet are possible. Two integrated P2 card connections and an SD card slot are also present.
According to Panasonic, the broadcast camera is ready for the future through services such as proxy recording or wireless input of metadata. Further features are expected to follow.
Panasonic wants to offer this model(body only) in the fall for a price of under 14,000 EUR(excluding tax). For under 16,000 EUR(excluding taxes), there is a version with an AG-CVF10 color viewfinder.
