25 Years of Animation Art: Pixar Exhibits in Bonn

To mark the 25th anniversary of the famous animation studio Pixar, which belongs to the Walt Disney Company, an exhibition will take place at the Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn from July 6, 2012, to January 6, 2013. Young and old can look through artistic works such as paintings, concept drawings, film sequences, documentary contributions, and modeled figures.

Who does not know them, the heroes of modern animated films such as Buzz Lightyear, little Nemo, Wall-E, or the Incredibles. The Californian hero factory has existed since 1986 and initially created commercials and short films. In 1995 came the milestone Toy Story, the first co-production with Disney, which literally revolutionized the animated-film genre. The repertoire now includes 12 film productions and more than twice as many short films. For this, the studio received 14 Oscars and was nominated for 36 more.

Anyone who wants a look behind the scenes of Pixar’s hero factory is advised to visit the exhibition. The highlights include Artscape, a large cinema in which a specially created film is shown in HD quality, Dolby Surround, and ambient light.
