Radius Effector 0.95 for Autodesk 3D Studio Max

Eloi Andaluz developed a small black box called Radius Effector for Thinking Particles that is intended to make animations easier to create. Instead of setting countless keyframes when animating rotations, scaling, material blending, and position changes, it is enough to move a null object. The distance of the null object controls the degree of the actual animation.

Despite being described as a black box, the tool is equipped with a visual user interface. Eloi derived the principle from familiar tools found in Cinema4D, such as MoGraph and PolyFX. The latter in particular is used in the Radius Effector functionality to break objects into their individual polygons at the push of a button. Further settings are available for gravity, collision generation, and physics. According to Eloi, targeted destruction is also supposed to be possible.

If you want to use Radius Effector for your own purposes, naturally non-commercially, the download is free. Download

If you work on commercial productions, you are expected to donate EUR 30 to Eloi and send him the result.
