That Crytek stands for the highest quality in video games is undisputed, and in the latest third installment of Crysis, the developers once again raised the bar in terms of visual quality and playability.
In Crysis 3, the player takes on the role of the hero Prophet, who returns to an overgrown New York and discovers that the city is enclosed in a nanodome built by the corrupt Cell Corporation, supposedly to protect New Yorkers. The main game area is the nanodome, which is divided into seven areas. As before, you have to fight aliens as well as the Cell Corporation to save the world. Along the way, Prophet gets to use highly developed weapon systems such as a high-tech combat bow, an improved Nanosuit, and destructive alien technology.
The exact release date is still being kept quiet. So far, Feburuary 2013 is on the schedule, along with the information that the game will be available for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
