Machinema is the name of the genre with which the Filmmaker adorns itself. Machinemas are short films created with the help of game engines. Fans of Team Fortress 2 and, of course, anyone who wants to are given the opportunity to use Source technology for this purpose. Users can create their own clips with existing animation data sets or with completely original animations in real time using Source engine technology, without large rendering operations of the kind familiar from actual film productions.

Anyone who wants to participate in the beta themselves needs only a Steam account and can obtain all the necessary information there on the Filmmaker page as well as download the tool.
