There is good news from RevUp Render. The company, which is known for cloud rendering, now also offers support for decentralized rendering with V-Ray 2.0 from ChaosGroup. With support for V-Ray 2.0, RevUp hopes to expand its customer base and bring VFX studios as well as artists on board. Particularly because the service is designed for programs such as Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, and Trimble SketchUp.
The principle of the cloud-rendering service is based on the principle of a self-service platform built on Nvidia’s iray rendering technology. If a customer wants to use the service, they rent render nodes and pay for the time needed for the complete rendering. According to RevUp, there is also intended to be a mobile feature. Customers are intended to receive control over the cloud workstations through smartphones and tablets.
Further information about the cloud-rendering offering is available on the RevUp homepage.
