In the future, Adobe wants to use Adobe Anywhere to connect globally distributed teams with one another, and according to Adobe, without using special hardware or network components that deviate from the standard. Project information is even supposed to remain accessible over WiFi. To prevent data from being changed unnoticed, a versioning system is also to be implemented. In principle, all data being worked with is located on the source server. If a change is made on the shared timeline, users do not receive packed layers on their client computers, but only a video stream that serves as a preview. Furthermore, this video stream will be adapted to the bandwidth available to the respective user. The same principle is also intended to make editing possible over the radio network. As can be gathered from Adobe, these approaches in particular are only some of the optimizations that Anywhere has in store for the users involved.
Adobe Anywhere is not yet available, but according to reports it is to be integrated into future versions of Premiere, Prelude, and After Effects. DP will report again on the exact release date. Until then, you can take a look at the Adobe.TV introductory video:
