In its new degree programme, Dortmund University of Applied Sciences combines filmmaking with training as a sound designer. A cooperation with the Institute for Computer Music and Electronic Media (ICEM) at Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen is planned for seminars in acoustics/acousmatics, live electronics and electronic composition. Cooperation with film sound studios for Foley and film mixing is also planned.
As a further development, the launch of an MA Film is planned for the summer semester of 2014. From 2016, this offering is to be supplemented by an MA Sound.
Applications for the BA degree programme are now possible until March 1, 2013, for the start of the 2013/14 winter semester.
