With the Adobe Mercury Transmit drivers, Matrox wants to focus Mojito 4K entirely on the Adobe Creative Cloud tools. Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Prelude, SpeedGrade and Encore are supported. According to Matrox, every pixel of 4K content is displayed in real time with the card.
Matrox Mojito 4K provides output of formats at a resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels, Quad Full HD at 3840 x 2160 pixels, 2K at a resolution of 2048 x 1080 pixels, as well as HD and SD.
Quad Full HD and 4K content can be output at up to 60 frames per second; transmission takes place via four SDI outputs because the SDI ports support data transmission at a maximum of three GBit per second. Matrox Mojito 4K supports up to 16 audio channels and is expected to be available for around 2,000 euros.
It is amusing that Matrox advertises the card as a "monitoring card"—it is clear what the company means, but in times of the NSA surveillance scandal perhaps a somewhat awkward choice of words.
