Four film schools are opening their doors to prospective students in November and offering a colorful information program about their courses. Time, then, for a trip around Germany.
The trip starts in the far north: Hamburg Media School (HMS) is taking part in the 5th Night of Knowledge on November 2 and, as part of it, is offering a program about the world of media from 5 p.m. There are hands-on activities for visitors on film editing, radio announcements and blogging; current short films and the school’s best productions will also be shown.

On November 6, you can then travel south to Ludwigsburg, where the Study Information Day takes place at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. In a full-day program, visitors can learn about the courses and areas of study offered at the university. We already reported in detail here on Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg’s Study Information Day.

The journey continues toward Berlin, where two universities will open their doors in November.
HFF Konrad Wolf in Babelsberg can be visited on November 9. The film school shows how study and research are carried out in modern studios, ateliers, workshops and teaching labs with high-quality state-of-the-art technology. Teachers and students from all courses explain how the total work of art that is film is shaped across disciplines in creative teams and produced under real conditions. Screenplay readings, theater performances, HFF films, film-music workshops and many interesting conversations are also offered. The final film school is the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) on November 17. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., lecturers from the departments of directing, camera, image design, production and screenwriting give an introduction to the courses.
