IrayForMaya will be available for the Linux and Windows operating systems. It is expected to include the following features: GPU and CPU rendering, physically based global illumination rendering, and a physically based layer-matrial model.
The integrated renderer also features image-based lighting that uses various IBL nodes in a single scene. In addition, there is light-emitting geometry and support for Maya’s UV-based textures and shading networks. According to Software & Consulting, IrayForMaya offers fast convergence without persistent artifacts and simultaneous rendering component output.
Further features include Tone Mapping, Matte Shadows, Depth of Field, Motion Blur, a Degrain function and Bloom Filtering, as well as much more.
A single workstation license is expected to cost 650 euros, while a floating license will be available for 950 euros.
