Once a year, the international film festival in Deauville honors corporate films, TV documentaries and audiovisual campaigns devoted to the subjects of environmental protection and sustainable development. This year it will take place from June 17 to 19.
The guest of honor this year is Germany: not only are the German Embassy, the Franco-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Goethe-Institut in Paris the official partners, but special attention will also be paid to entries from Germany in the program design.
Entries can be submitted in 14 categories on the subject of sustainable development:
• Climate Change & Society • Renewable Energy & Sustainable Technologies • Transport & Eco-Mobility • Health & Living Environment • Agriculture & Green Economy • Housing & Ecological Innovations • Eco-Tourism & Responsible Travel • Environmental Protection & Conservation • Sustainability in Production & Consumption • Institutions & Social Responsibility • Companies & Life-Cycle Assessments • Innovations & Technological Revolutions • Corporate Initiatives & Humanitarian Aid • Demographic Change & Ageing
On June 19, 2014, during a ceremonial awards ceremony, the jury will present trophies to the best films from each area and category. There are five gold trophies (‘Totems d’Or’) for the best entries in the areas of TV program, documentary, awareness campaign, corporate film and film by a public institution. Some of the festival’s partners also award special prizes, such as the City of Deauville or the Essec Business School.
