Any 3D enthusiast can take part. Entrants are free to choose which 3D software to use. The finished video must be uploaded to YouTube in 720P quality. Entries are submitted using a form on the SAE competition page.
The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 24:00. The winners will be announced on the website after July 10!
The animation of the freely chosen terrifying creature should be between 10 and 15 seconds long. One requirement, for example, is that the monster should roar as terrifyingly as possible at least once during this period. Prizes include one copy of Modo 801 from Luxology, a Keyshot Renderer, 3D Coat software, Lightmap HDR Studio, and a DP subscription.
