The animated feature film "The Nut Job" was the Canadian studio’s first project. The film is based on Peter Lepeniotis’s short film "Surly Squirrel". With worldwide box-office results of 77 US dollars, it was a complete financial success for the studio, which ToonBox Entertainment used to expand towards Hollywood. Its new branch is located in downtown Los Angeles.
Its second animated film, entitled "Spark", is currently being made and is expected to run in cinemas in 2015. There will also be a second instalment of "The Nut Job" in 2016, and a TV series with Surly Squirrel is also planned.
