Whether Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg or Munich: in future, the two moving-image specialists will offer their services across locations and on uniform terms. The Sales & Marketing Director for ACHTARRI is former TBWA Managing Director John F. Goetze.
The reason for Arri and Acht’s merger is the relatively saturated postproduction market. Anyone who wants to hold their own there in the long term must not only work cost-efficiently, but also have maximum technical and creative expertise as well as the highest degree of flexibility. "Our customers expect us to have a broad base and work across locations", says Melanie Scharlau, CEO at ACHT Hamburg. Together with Arri, which is bringing branches in Berlin and Munich into the partnership, this wish can now be met much better.
According to Arri and Acht, the portfolios of the two companies complement one another well, and since many of the existing customers are locally oriented, they are not in direct competition.
"The personnel and competence structures were similar, as were the hardware and software used", says Philipp Bartel, Head of Arri Commercial Munich.
In the attachment you will find a free portrait of Arri that appeared in our DP issue 06/13.
