The financial rebate is to be increased from 28 to 32 percent. According to a report by Variety, the funding is not dependent on particular nationalities and production teams do not have to work with a local producer team. One of the highlights of the Irish funding system is: the rebate for a production is fixed in advance and paid out on the very first day of filming. The programme is scheduled to end in 2020.
