Painter 2015 includes new particle painting tools and the tool now supports Mac OSX with 64-bit. Further new features in this release include scattering smoothing, which can be used to create even more organic-looking brush strokes, and a customisable, tailored palette arrangement. In addition, thanks to Windows Real-Time Stylus support, it should now also be possible to draw on a tablet while on the move. The "Painting Behaviour" feature has also been optimised so that the program can be adapted better to the user’s individual painting behaviour in terms of pressure and speed settings.
The boxed version will be delivered from August 26. Anyone who already owns a previous Paint version can update for 218.95 euros. Volume licences are also available for studios and companies.
Painter Mobile App
Anyone who wants to get to grips with the program before buying can first test Painter’s free Android app. The app has 70 painting tools with which digital painters can create works of art anywhere. These can be imported directly into Painter 2015 or exported in JPEG, PNG or PSD formats. It is available free of charge in the Google Play Store – if you need more extensive functions, the paid app version for 4.99 euros is the better choice.
