"Immersive Lining" was nominated for an animago AWARD in the "Best Interactive Production" category in 2014. Munich agency q~bus Mediatektur designed the combination of model, projection mapping, monitors and light for Deutsche Telekom. These elements were used to simulate an immersive flight experience in which CeBIT visitors could immerse themselves.

This is what the flight of the future could look like.

Preparation During the Flight

A special trick lay in the possibility of filling monitors and iPads with travel information. This would allow travel preparations to be shifted to the flight time.

Set off with a plan immediately after landing – this is how q~bus sees travel in the near future.

Project Requirements

The team had to address several tasks in this project. On the one hand, it had to create a mock-up interior of an aircraft segment provided by Airbus. Short-throw projectors were to be integrated invisibly for the visitor. A ten-person team spent three months working out the solution to the problem between projection distortion and correction and the interplay of linings (projection), floor screens and iPads.

Software and Video Clip

Cinema 4D and After Effects were used for the animation in this animago entry. The layout was designed with Photoshop and Illustrator. The Digital Signage software Sedna Presenter, respectively the Sedna Player for iPad, was used as the player for interactive control.
