The deadline for lateral entry into the project study program for the “Technical Director” specializations is May 15. Direct entry into the third year of study (the project study program) is aimed at applicants with professional experience or a completed degree. For TD training specifically, a bachelor’s degree or intermediate diploma from a computer science course is required. The TD combines prior technical knowledge with artistic work on a project.
Training at the Animationsinstitut is practice-oriented and project-based, with interdisciplinary exchange among all Filmakademie students encouraged from the outset. The institute is also strongly networked internationally, with teaching provided by guest lecturers from Germany, Europe and the USA.
