Australian VFX and animation studio Animal Logic is opening a branch in Vancouver. In cooperation with Warner Bros., the digital artists from Down Under will produce three animated features there. It is due to begin with a sequel to “The Lego Movie”. Production is expected to start in January 2016.
The expansion into the VFX hotspot is expected to create 300 new jobs. The new studio will probably open in September. Nevertheless, the computers in Australia are not standing still. Work there currently includes “The Lego Batman Movie” and “Ninjago” .
