Mixamo, the creation platform that allows 3D characters to be created directly in the browser, has just been released in its second full version. The company has already existed for seven years. The technology is now set to become part of Photoshop CC and expand the tool’s 3D capabilities. Adobe wants to begin with 3D stock characters that can be imported into projects.

Existing Mixamo customers can continue to use the products as usual and create free accounts. Mixamo also intends to publish new content free of charge in future. But Mixamo will no longer accept paid customer accounts, nor can accounts be upgraded once the collaboration with Adobe begins.
