The film was created by Sophie Kavouridis, Manon Lazzari, Marion Louw, Simon Pannetrat and Thomas Ricquier of the French university Ecole Georges Méliès. The team worked on the project for around a year using Autodesk Maya, The Foundry’s Mari and Pixologic’s ZBrush. It was rendered with V-Ray from Chaos Group, and compositing was carried out in Nuke from The Foundry.
The animago jury chose “Les Liens De Sang (Blood Ties)” as this year’s winner because the film’s bold subject and unusual look were convincing.
