The submission deadline is March 31, 2016; the finalists will be announced in autumn next year at the major Red Bull Illume winner ceremony. In addition to great prizes, such as a Yodobashi voucher worth 40,000 euros or Sony photographic equipment, there is the chance to show the images to a large international audience as part of the Red Bull Illume Exihibt Tour.
Participating photographers can submit up to five photos across a total of eleven different categories. New in 2016 is the Mobile category. Further details about the rules and categories can be read at redbullillume.com.
A total of 50 photo editors from international publications will select the 55 best shots, the eleven category winners, and one overall winner.
