With ftrack Go, a team is supposed to be able to continue managing a project together and monitor its progress while on the move: among other things, users can check task assignments, change statuses and post comments. Only functions such as planning, scheduling and media review are intended to remain reserved for the desktop version of ftrack. Apart from that, according to the developers, the same project-management possibilities are available, only through a lighter and more accessible interface than before. The first version of the ftrack Go app still works best on smartphones, but better support for tablets is also planned for future updates.

Here you can download the ftrack Go app from Google Play (Android 4.1 or higher is required) and here from the Apple App Store (iOS 8.1 or newer).

You can learn how to log in to the app with your project and what the app features look like in detail on the ftrack website.

Incidentally, in the upcoming DP issue 02 : 16, which appears on February 22, our focus will be entirely on data management and backup.
