Thanks to its calibration and image accuracy, the monitor is suitable for checking and evaluating shot material in the workflow. HDR is supported through various EOT functions (Electro-Optical Transfer Function; EOTF), such as S-Log3, SMPTE ST.2084 and Hybrid Log-Gamma. The output signal is 12-bit. The monitor supports various colour spaces, including ITU-R BT.2020 (Rec. 2020) for UHD.

The PVM-X550 has a quad view that allows display settings in these views:

  •     Electro-Optical Transfer Function (EOTF)
  •     Colour space, transfer matrix and colour temperature
  •     Contrast, brightness and chroma
  •     Interface (3G-SDI, HD-SDI including Single Link/Dual Link and HDMI)
  •     Signal structure (RGB and YCBCR)

Thanks to its wide lateral viewing angle, the monitor can also be mounted well on a wall. The PVM-X550 will be available from summer 2016.
